Early every morning, the sound of music is in the air as children gather, singing songs of praise for their village and school. Led by the marching band, the procession of children in almost formal marching lines, some barefoot, circumnavigate the surrounding area before lessons commence.

Songs and stories teach morals and cultural heritage. The second song on this track is in Kiswahili and is a warning to the children to be aware of AIDS. The swish of bare feet in the dust marks a natural rhythm.
